aFe POWER engineers have been having fun this week when the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor entered the building. Teams from Intake, Exhaust, Tuning and Suspension were working alongside each other to begin measuring and prototyping new performance products for the new 450hp 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost, different from it’s base model F-150 cousin.

Here’s a sneak peek at what aFe POWER has in the works:

aFe POWER SCORCHER GT 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Tuning Module

 The SCORCHER GT is a plug and play module capable of adding horsepower and torque with a 30 minute installation. Check out the dyno chart below, and compare the baseline Raptor dyno test to the initial results from the aFe SCORCHER. Final tuning has not been completed, but we already have a solid gain of +30hp and +27 lbs. ft of torque at the wheels!

aFe POWER Momentum GT 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Cold Air Intake System

 The aFe Intake Team has already CAD designed and 3D printed a Momentum GT Series Cold Air Intake prototype for the 2017 F-150 Raptor and testing is underway. The Momentum GT Air Intake Systems feature an extremely large air filter, designed to increase the air flow and incorporate a scoop to pull fresh air from the front of the Raptor.

The new F-150 Raptor is also spending time on the rack in the aFe Exhaust department, as they quickly begin to fabricate a new cat-back exhaust system to improve the exhaust flow, as well as give the 2017 F-150 an exhaust note worthy of the name Raptor.
